TERMS OF SERVICE
Web/Email Hosting Environment
Emendit’s services operate in environments that have been optimised for general business purposes. This environment may be upgraded or modified by Emendit at any time, for security or operational purposes. While it is our objective to minimize customer inconvenience in these situations, it is your responsibility to ensure your Web, Telecommunications and I.T related services onsite conforms to the current environment. Emails accounts are recommended to be setup as pop3, unless being used simultaneously on a mobile device, IMAP can be used. This reduces storage space. Domain name renewals are billed annually (R110)
Emendit agreement Acceptable Use Policy
Emendit’s agreement Acceptable Use Policy applies to your Business Web Hosting services. This includes the prevention of spam, fraud, breach of intellectual property rights, and other illegal activities
Billing Information
Invoices and other notifications will be sent to the email address that you specified in application form. Communication of invoices are strictly via email. The base monthly fees for packages are payable in advance, with any applicable excess usage fees charged in arrears. Only 24 month contracts on all promotional/specials packages Annual payments upon agreement acceptance grants a 10% discount. Please note that the first monthly service charge, plus the registration charge (R199), must be paid in full before any services can be activated. Payments are strictly EFT. A payment receipt will be provided once payment is reflected in business bank account. Excess charges apply to web space, email quota and service traffic above the specified quota Invoices of services provided will be billed on a monthly basis in advance. Please note all payments are due on the 1st of every month strictly via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) All proof of payments should be forwarded to accounts@emendit.co.za alternatively faxed to 086 480 6687 NB: annual payments towards packages grant a 10% discount upon.
Website Design
Websites are static (is displayed in a web browser exactly as it is stored. It contains web pages with fixed content coded in HTML and stored on a web server) All content must be provided by the customer, images will be provided should the customer not have any. Website design will take a period of 7 - 14 working days to be designed, depending on all content being provided to us timeously. Once website is signed and live all changes thereafter will be quoted accordingly. Logo design for website use only will be an additional charge of R250, this is strictly for use to complete design of website and not intended for any other platform. Emendit has copyrights on all static website designs hosted on our server.
Cloud Based PBX
All SIP accounts require Internet Connectivity. Internet and call costs are not part of the SIP accounts, packages and promos. Airtime is prepaid (any amount) and extensions are @ R49.00 each
Technology Support
Support is offered during normal business hours, unless stipulated in an agreed SLA. Once off remote support to setup initial group of email accounts on PC Desktop is provided FREE of charge, there after our remote support will be charged at R350 per hour or part thereof. Call out charges of R450 per hour or part thereof will be charged for any on site services required within 30km radius from Durban central. Additional travel charges will be incurred should the call out exceed the 30 km radius. Estimated additional rates will be quoted before call out commences. Note support service fees do not include any hardware or replacement parts, this will be quoted accordingly.
Cancellation
A cancellation form needs to be completed, this is available on request from your consultant. All cancellations are subjected to a 30day calendar month notice. All accounts have to be settled before cancellation is served which includes unpaid invoices, unpaid hosting fees, domain renewals etc. If the client chooses any promotional package and wishes to terminate their services to transfer over to a new ISP, the client will be liable for the market related value of the designed website upon cancellation, irrespective of whether the designed site will be used or not thereafter. These packages cannot be sold individually. If the client chooses to transfer and has not issued a transfer ticket after the cancellation period, the clients account will automatically be reinstated for their services again, due to disk usage and server hosting.
